In a Siberian village lives an ordinary family, the father is a forester, the mother is a nurse and the boy is a good student. Every summer they go on vacation to the grandmother in Crimea. But difficulties at the father's job will put an end to this idyllic situation. The father starts drinking and drags his wife along.
