Sergei is a simple man, a used car salesman, whose life His life has turned into a monotonous hell. His wife, Nina, is having a secret affair with her boss, Igor, while at home, our hero has to deal with a grumpy daughter, a cat with bad habits, and boots that get wet because of the cat's bad habits. Just another day where emotions have no place, where there is only blind submission to Nina, with no hope for a happy future. After discovering his wife's infidelity and losing his job, everything seems lost… But then Sergei meets Polina, a barmaid and psychology student, who will change his life. Polina allows him to live with her until Sergei gets back on his feet. The two huddle together in a room under the watchful eye of a perpetually dissatisfied landlady.
