Plot synopsis
Three young people, two boys and a girl, Varia, who met at school, meet again a few years later. The young men have become fighter pilots and the young girl works in an architectural firm. One day, during a low-level training flight, one of them passed a train but noticed that the railway was cut off by a landslide a little further on; he succeeded in warning the driver who stopped the convoy just before the collision. At a popular party, his friend, who seems to have a more intimate connection to Varia, is injured in his eyes while trying to save a child who set fireworks rockets on fire. As he is doing a dual exercise, he finds he can't see it anymore. Varia only finds out the truth when she returns from a trip. His two friends urge him to consult a surgeon who decides to operate on him. The operation was successful, and he found his squadron reunited, along with his parents.

The beloved city

To a distant land, my comrade flies away,
Native winds follow after him.
The beloved city fades into a blue haze,
The familiar house, the green garden, and a tender gaze.
The beloved city fades into a blue haze,
The familiar house, the green garden, and a tender gaze.

My comrade will pass through battles and wars,
Knowing no sleep, knowing no silence.
The beloved city can sleep peacefully
And dream, and grow green in the midst of spring.
The beloved city can sleep peacefully
And dream, and grow green in the midst of spring.

And when my comrade returns home,
The native winds will return with him.
The beloved city will smile upon its friend,
The familiar house, the green garden, a joyful gaze.
The beloved city will smile upon its friend,
The familiar house, the green garden, and a tender gaze.
