Plot synopsis
The Chukchi, reindeer herders, live in a demanding world on the eastern edge of Siberia. Borrowing from the aesthetics of silent cinema of the 1920s, where the narrative relies entirely on images, editing and music, this film with a facetious tone accurately reflects the daily life and the relationships that the Chukchi have built with nature. A tribute to Robert Flaherty and to all the peoples of the North.
