On one of the forgotten pages of the First World War, the formation in 1916 of the second infantry brigade consisting of two regiments with a total strength - soldiers and officers - of 18,000 people. This first special regiment was formed in Moscow and the second in Samara. The brigade of the Russian expeditionary force fought in France until the end of 1917. It can be said that it actively participated in the defense of Paris.
After the revolutionary events in Russia (February and October 1917), it was withdrawn from the front.
