Plot synopsis
Young Sofika (Svetlana Zhivankova) is pretty, sings well and dreams of becoming a singer. Her boyfriend Vasya (Vladimir Zemlianikine), a cadet of the nautical school, considers her desire frivolous and insists that the girl enroll in radio operator courses ... But the next day, forgetting everything, Sofika informs happily Vasia that she was offered to become a jazz singer of the group Omelsky, who came on tour to the village. The girl experienced many disappointments until she realized that behind the external originality of Omelsky's songs lies a lack of musical talent. And Sofika has also understood that it is possible to sing successfully on the stage of the Palace of Culture in his native village ...
