AIn an occupied Ukrainian city, a clandestine Bolshevik committee entrusts the communists Brianski and Lougovets with the mission of tracking down an enemy counter-revolutionary. To this end, Brianski befriends the actress Brio, who works at the café “The Happy Canary.”
