In 1957-1958 he studied at the directing department of the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky.
In 1967 he graduated from VGIK (workshop of M. Romm).
He worked as a turner at the Tashkent Mechanical Plant and collaborated on a Greek emigration newspaper. Since 1952 - party worker in the “countries of people's democracy”.
In the last years of his life he lived in Greece, where he continued to work as a director on television, theater and cinema.
He passed away on January 7, 1992.
