Navrouz Akhmedov arrived in Russia in 1994, when he was practically deprived of his right to live in his own country. His father, a Tajik, had died by then, and he, his sister and his Russian mother were forced to leave Tajikistan, as the fall of the Soviet Union struck their international family.
