Plot synopsis
The ninth episode of the documentary "Historical Chronicles with Nikolay Svanidze" is dedicated to 1909 and the provocateur Yevno Azef. This man headed one of the most terrible terrorist groups in Russia at the beginning of the century - the Combat Organization of the Socialist Revolutionary Party. At the same time, he was a secret police agent, and, according to one version, it was to him that the Combat Organization owes its collapse.
The life of Yevno Azef is full of mysteries, and it is still unclear what guided the great provocateur - mercantile interest or ideological considerations...
