A Muscovite Svetlana begins her career as a transplant surgeon and is assigned to the Arctic to continue her residency. Her supervisor is a certain Sergeich, with whom the girl has a long and painful history. Svetlana considers her views on life and profession to be the only correct ones and does not listen to others. But in the course of working with rare and unique cases, the girl becomes increasingly familiar with the lives of people, and Svetlana's pragmatic principles are put to a real test.
