Plot synopsis
The film is dedicated to the amazing fate of the classic of Russian cinema Vitaly Melnikov. The director lived a long life and devoted it all to serving art. The authors deliberately refused to interview fellow directors, film critics and star actors who starred in his films. They sought to show more of Vitaly Vyacheslavovich himself, to listen to him. After all, the answers to all the questions are in his films, books, and he said something important during conversations with his family. There are two heroes in the film: Vitaly Vyacheslavovich himself and another person who saw Melnikov as a director the least – his grandson Artemy, who, while his mom and dad were at work, spent a lot of time with his famous grandfather...
