Modern-day schoolboy Vanya accidentally stumbles upon a magical portal and is transported to the times of Ancient Rus, where he meets Fyodor and Ratibor, two brave bogatyrs. Together, they must journey back to the modern world to find magical artifacts before the evil sorceress Gordeya finds them—she hopes to use them to awaken a powerful evil.
