Plot synopsis
The farm owner found little Tiina by the post where her mother, accused of witchcraft, had been stoned to death. Tiina grew up in a family that wasn’t her own. With her indomitable spirit, fiery temperament, and lack of prejudice, the girl stood in stark contrast to those around her, who never accepted her as one of their own. To them, she is a werewolf, a she-wolf. And it is precisely the presence of the “witch’s” daughter among them that the peasants attribute to the calamities that befall them from time to time… Passionate and stubborn, Tiina comes into conflict with her adoptive family. Margus’s love cannot protect her, and she runs away into the forest… Five years later, the family hears the howling of wolves; Margus grabs his rifle and mortally wounds one of them…
