Vladimir Asmirko is a documentary filmmaker, cameraman, and photographer. He was born in 1963 on Sakhalin. He graduated from the Humanitarian Institute of Television and Radio Broadcasting (GITR) with a degree in Film and Television Directing. He is a member of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia. He worked at the Daltelefilm documentary film studio in Vladivostok, and later at the Far Eastern Bureau of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. Participant of Channel One projects, production of auteur films for the Kultura and Russia Today channels, documentary projects in Japan and China, India, Italy, Syria and Egypt.
