Plot synopsis

The action takes place on December 31.
In a village, not far from the city of Sineiarsk, lived Mitya, an ordinary boy. On the morning of the last day of the year, he sculpted a little girl from snow, whom he named Lylia, and took to school. On the way, he noticed that his watch had disappeared from his wrist. Soon an evil old man arrived at the school: it was the Old Year that did not want to give way to the New. The old man began to look for a magic watch to stop time.
