The film takes place in Estonia in the late 1950s during the construction of a large thermal power plant. Jaak Riit, a guy with a difficult character, does not immediately fit into the team. For a long time, he does not trust people, their warmth, kindness. In addition, something from the past lies like a heavy burden on the heart of the young man ... He leaves the construction site, then returns again. Jaak does not immediately understand the confusion of his feelings. After much hesitation, he decides to return to the construction of the thermal power plant.
