Ciné-Roman on the life and work of Donbass minors. The emeritus worker Andrei Pantchenko is appointed director of an important mine. He is filled with hope and happy since by his side is his beloved, the lovely and faithful Tamara. But he encounters problems in his work and in chance he finds a childhood friend, the petulant and quarrel Nielka, who makes him completely lose his head. The young man's burning heart is torn between love and duty and soon Andreï is in front of decisive choices in his life.
