Plot synopsis
In a village on the northeastern coast of Brazil, 17-year-old Jusce earns his living by diving to a depth of 30 meters, with basic equipment, to fish for lobsters. In the evening, his "reward" is to watch television with Ana, who lives with her mother and young daughter. Ana dreams of leaving the village. The friends of Jusce's deceased father will help him buy a fishing boat. But soon Rogeiro returns to the village and meets Ana. Both men have the same attraction to the young woman.
