This "Night of Cinema" is traditionally held every year in the largest cities of Russia. Viewers can watch domestic and foreign films, modern or classic, documentaries and premieres for free. In the capital, the event coincides with the Moscow International Film Week. Screenings are held not only in cinemas, but also in parks, museums, exhibition halls and libraries. The official programme is limited to three films; other films may be added by the cities concerned.
