The film tells about the amazing and tragic fate of the ancient Konevsky Monastery, the younger brother of the Valaam Monastery, in the first half of the 20th century. The island, located on the territory of Finland, by the will of fate for many years remained a fragment of the great Russian Empire that had sunk into oblivion.
