Plot synopsis
"And you had filmed the debates between workers, armed of course with your good socialist conscience, but without ever cheating with the image. According to your Journal. the findings were overwhelming: absenteeism, bureaucratic chaos, mowing down from one workshop to another... It would probably be too much to ask of the reality of that time to have been the example of workers' democracy that you wanted to see there. At least those who were accused defended themselves. It was not yet the time for confessions. In this era of triumphalist slogans, the latest headline sounded strangely melancholy: "Locomotive repairers, where are your commitments?"
