On March 1, 1985, Vladislav Listev, a brilliant and prominent television journalist, was killed on the threshold of his own home. The instigators and killers of Listev have not been found so far, but his murder is directly related to the clashes over the statements of politicians on television. His friends and colleagues tell in this film that it may be about the criticism of television in the 80s and 90s, the role that Listev played in promoting a new television, and the dramatic turn that his fate took.
