During the Second World War, the Marinsky Theatre and the Vaganova Ballet Company were evacuated from Leningrad to Molotov (as the city of Perm was then called). This was the beginning of a love story between the city and ballet. The following people contributed to the film: Sergei Slonimsky, composer, son of the writer Mikhail Slonimsky; Natalia Kaverina, doctor of medicine, daughter of the writer Benjamin Kaverin; Mikhail German, art critic, son of the writer Yuri German; Ninel Petrova, dancer and ballet master; Lyudmila Sophrona, teacher at the Vaganova Ballet Academy; Ninel Pidemskaya, ballerina; Nikolai Boyarchykov, first ballet master at the Perm House of Opera and Dance from 1971 to 1977, etc.
