This is the story of a unique pilot who accomplished extraordinary feats, like Pokryshkin, Maressiev and Kozhadub. He was twice a "Hero of the Soviet Union" and was about to receive his third star. His name is: Pavel Kamozin. Having fallen into disgrace under Stalin, he was not mentioned as a hero for the third time and narrowly escaped the gulag. He was, by a miracle, saved from the camps, but his name was consigned to oblivion.
