Somewhere in a small hamlet on the outskirts of a city lives Hella, a young girl who lives in perfect harmony with herself and with nature. Every day the girl goes to the post office, from where she sends letters to nowhere. The new postman, young Petya, takes an interest in the girl and gets to know her. Hella reveals herself to him in a completely different light. Petya, in a fit of despair, tries to destroy Hella's happy world.
