An elderly couple is retiring and the spouses are left alone with each other in the quiet of their large Moscow apartment. It is difficult for them to talk out loud about approaching old age, loneliness and love. They have been together for so long that they understand each other without saying anything, but sometimes this silence becomes unbearable.
