Plot synopsis

Aviator Ametkhan Sultan, a Crimean Tatar, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, goes on leave to his hometown of Alupka in May 1944 after the liberation of Crimea from Nazi troops. Little does he know that a new war awaits him...
