Plot synopsis
A portrait film about Boris Nemtsov.
People with different opinions and judgments about the 90s and the current government remember him. Those who were with him in his scientific activities and when he took his first steps in politics, when he held important positions and was considered Yeltsin's protégé and when he became one of the leaders of the opposition in Russia. The film offers rare current affairs documents and unpublished excerpts from the family archives. The movement against nuclear power, the first free elections, the "capital of reforms" that Nizhny Novgorod had become during his governorship, a million signatures against the war in Chechnya, the conflict with the oligarchs, discussions on the future of the Kuril Islands, the burial of the imperial family, the transition to the "non-systemic" opposition and participation in the protest movement ... This is what NEMTSOV tells us. This film is not about his death but about the life of one of the most brilliant politicians in contemporary Russia.
