Plot synopsis
The film opens the backstage of the most ambitious theatre project in contemporary Russia. This "young theatre" was born a few years ago thanks to a student course at the MKhAT (Moscow Artistic Theatre). Under the guidance of its teacher, Dmitry Brusnikin, a theatre director and Honored Artist of Russia, the young artists are working on the play "Demons" according to Dostoevsky. In front of the lens: the studio's students, including already well-known actors: Pyotr Skvortsov ("The Disciple"), Vasily Boutkevich ("The Union of Soft Rags"), Marina Vasilyeva ("What's My Name"), Brusnikin himself and the spectators participating in this interactive show.
