In 1942, during the Second World War, the Nazis burned the Belarusian village of Viado. In 2016, to commemorate the memory of the peasants who were burned alive, a chapel was consecrated. For almost ten years, the writer and ethnographer Veniamine Bychkovsky built this chapel in the depths of Polesie. But the construction of this chapel completely destroyed his family life.
