Plot synopsis
During the First World War, the D'Abraham family saves a wounded Russian officer. As a token of gratitude, the officer helps Abraham settle into a printing house. There the young Jew meets revolutionary workers for the first time. During the October Revolution, Abraham joins the Red Army and becomes a regimental commander.
